Jason and Jodie grew up in the booming metropolis of Evansville, Indiana. Jodie was saved early in life at the age of 7 while Jason was saved during his freshman year of college at the age of 18. They were married in 1997 and since then have been seeking to serve God in whatever capacity He allows them. They also have three great kids (Simeon, Cora Ellen, and Samantha).
Jason attended Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary from 2001-2003 before moving back to the Evansville area. Once back in Evansville he received the call to serve on staff at NorthWoods Church, a church plant that was about a year old.
They enjoyed serving there for 3 1/2 years before moving to Bloomington, Indiana to plant Foot of the Cross Church. After a short stint in Bloomington they began to look for the next opportunity that God would move them to. Through His providence he has brought them to FBC of Jasper.
They are excited about what God is doing through the church and through the people here. They believe strongly in building relationships with people through the love of Christ and hope that you will join us in God's mission to win the nations for Christ.

Mike is married to a beautiful woman named Nikki, and has an amazingly cool son named Isaiah and a super cuddly and cute baby girl named Hannah. Mike and Nikki come to us from Missouri awesomeness where they served at FBC New London for a little over 5 years.
Mike currently attends The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary where he is pursuing an M.Div in Christian Ministry, Heresy Tackling, and Cage Fighting. He hopes to eventually pursue a doctorate in the hopes that some day someone may ask him to perform a surgery.
Nikki is a full time mommy. If you see Isaiah and Hannah being holy, happy, and huggable it's because of mommy's influence. Anything else is probably daddy's influence. Her job is obviously more difficult than Mike's.
The Leake family is driven by a passion to make Jesus Christ the only boast of this generation. Mike's passion for writing, studying, preaching, and other nerdy activities is driven by that deeper passion to display the beauty of the risen Christ. Nikki's passion for being a great mommy, singing, playing piano, and pouring her life into people is also driven by this greater passion.
P.S. Mike is saved, he's just not sure when it happened. Maybe in 1992, possibly 1997, it could have been 1999, probably 2000. But his full confidence rests in the finished work of Jesus Christ. Nikki was saved as a teenager.
